After the holy Eid-ul-Fitr and Pohela Boishakh holidays, offices-courts, banks-insurance and stock market will open today Monday (April 15).
Before this, last Thursday (April 11), the main religious festival of the Muslim community, Eid-ul-Fitr, was celebrated across the country. On the occasion of Eid, April 10, 11 and 12 (Wednesday, Thursday and Friday) were public holidays. After Eid, 13th of April on Saturday weekly and 14th of April on Sunday on the occasion of Pohela Boishakh, Bengali New Year holiday. As a result, employees are spending holidays from 10th to 14th. After five consecutive days of Eid holidays, workers will join the office on Monday.
However, many of those who went outside Dhaka for Eid took optional leave. Due to the large number of them, it will take a few more days to start the proceedings in full swing in the office court. Besides, schools and colleges will also open next week. Then the capital Dhaka will return to normal.
Meanwhile, on the occasion of the holy Eid-ul-Fitr, for the first time, the journalists, officials and employees working in the newspaper are spending 6 consecutive days off. The Newspaper Owners Association of Bangladesh (NOAB) announced a continuous holiday from April 9 to April 14.
