Elections will not be fair under the present government. The BNP, the main opposition party on the streets has realized this after going to the polls more than once. For which the party demands a non-partisan caretaker government during the election period and has taken a firm stand in realizing this demand. New traps are being set to take the BNP to the polls under the party government. However, the party has said that it will not fall into any more trap of Awami League.

The BNP decided to boycott all elections under the Narul Huda Commission, alleging rigging in the city corporation elections and local government elections held in 2020 and 2021. The announcement was made by BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on February 28 last year. After that the party did not take part in any other election. First they first announced a boycott of the election under the Huda commission. Later, the BNP decided to boycott the elections under the party government. Since then, the party has been adamant in its decision. Going beyond the decision and taking part in the Narayanganj City Corporation election, Taimur Alam Khandaker was expelled from all the posts of advisor to the chairperson and BNP.

A reliable BNP source told Barta24.com that the BNP is no longer going to the polls under the party government. That's for sure; this decision will not change. The decision came at a series of standing committee meetings held last September. This decision was taken on the basis of everyone's opinion. Now only the demand of the BNP is a non-partisan government. Not thinking anything out of it.

The BNP boycotted the process of forming the Election Commission out of adherence to the demands of the caretaker government. They did not respond to the President's call for dialogue. The BNP secretary general commented that the dialogue was meaningless. BNP has barred the parties from participating in the dialogue.

BNP organizing secretary Emran Saleh Prince told Barta24.com that the BNP would not participate in any election without a non-partisan neutral caretaker government. No election under the present government can be participatory and reflect the free will of the people. People's representatives will not be elected or a change of power will be reflected in the independent opinion of the people. That is the constant truth today. That is why we have rejected the President's dialogue. At the same time, we have rejected the call of the search committee.

"We will build a movement with the people to establish a caretaker government," he said we will force this government to resign. A non-partisan neutral caretaker government will be formed and a new election commission will be formed through them.

BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said it was not possible to hold a neutral, fair and acceptable election under any circumstances under the present government. This fact has been proved in the 2014 and 2018 parliamentary elections and local government elections. So we think this illegitimate government should resign and power should be handed over to a neutral government. The only way to overcome the current crisis is to establish a people's representative parliament and government through a participatory election, which is acceptable to all under the auspices of a neutral election commission under a neutral government.

The main opposition party in the field did not seat idle demanding a caretaker government. Various activities are being carried out to realize the demand. New plans are being drawn up although no action has been taken in the field of corona restrictions, various preparations are being made. They are trying to convince development partners to put pressure on the government. Letters have already been sent to several friendly countries. At the same time, the process of a greater unity with the opposition is moving forward. The BNP has already held meetings with several parties. It will also interact with civil society step by step. They are trying to bring everyone to a consensus on a common issue.

General Secretary of Awami League Obaidul Quader has commented that there will be a game against BNP's non-politicos next month.

He said this at a peace rally organized by Dhaka Metropolitan North Awami League at Azampur in the capital on Monday (September 25). The rally was organized against BNP's 'terrorism, anarchy, impolitic and continuing anti-national conspiracy'.

Obaidul Quader said, "If BNP does not come in the right direction, we will take these people with us and destroy the black hands of BNP's non-politicos." I will break their black hands.

Awami League general secretary said with a smile, "There will be a game, there will be a game." The game will be played next month. And the actual game or the final game will be played in the first week of January.

He asked the activists, are you ready to play? Then the activists said together, I am ready, I am...

Later, Quader told the activists that if BNP brings weapons, then those hands should be broken. If it brings fire, that hand should be burnt. Like a dog, like a hammer.

He said, we do not care about anyone's visa policy. Giving a message, we don't care about anyone's ban. I made Bangladesh independent not to care about anyone's ban. This country became independent with blood not to obey anyone's ban. I will do my democracy, I will do my election. Who are you The Seven Seas would bar the Thirteen Rivers from across the Atlantic, not the country of Ali Bongo in Gabon.

To participate in the rally, activists started coming to Nayapaltan from different areas of the capital this afternoon. At that time, the leaders and activists of the party chanted various slogans demanding the release of Khaleda Zia and the resignation of the government.

'Copying' the secretary’s post in the FB, CU League president after 17 years said goodbye!

Four years ago, everyone was quite surprised by the news of Rezaul Haque Rubel becoming the president of Chattogram University unit because Rubel was not a prominent leader until then. He was not seen in the front line of the organization's program. Again age was not in favor of this leader. Rubel, who was admitted to the statistics department of the university in the academic year 2006-07, did not have any studentship at that time. Although the qualifications and qualities needed to manage the organization were absent, nothing stood in the way of him becoming the president.

The leaders and workers of the university branch Chhattra League were disappointed with such a person as the president, but they hoped that Rubel would change after getting a big responsibility. He may retain the honor of the post. But that hope is crushed. Rather, Rubel became more reckless after taking the top position of BCL. Sometimes spending the night in a residential hotel with women, sometimes trampling with subordinate leaders and workers, sometimes lying in the hall room indecently, taking screenshots of women students sending suggestive text messages to women abusers from going viral - Rubel has repeatedly been associated with controversies. Due to these activities, once close leaders and workers also left Rubel and he became alone. At one point he was 'out' from the campus. Later, he returned to the campus secretly, but he had to be assaulted by the leaders and workers of his side.

Due to various incidents, several parties of BCL have been involved in one after another clashes in the campus for the last three days. In the meantime, due to the publication of the news, Rubel's followers attacked Prothom Alo University stringer Mosharraf Hossain on Sunday (September 24). After this, in view of the events of the last few days, the Central Committee of the Chhattra League announced the dissolution of the University Branch Committee. This shows the excitement among the leaders and workers of the BCL grassroots.

Meanwhile, Rezaul Haque Rubel gave a 'farewell message' on his Facebook at six in the evening after announcing the dissolution of the committee. Sharing the notification of the cancellation of the committee signed by Central Chhattra League President Saddam Hossain and General Secretary Sheikh Wali Asif Inan, Rubel wrote, 'We will meet again in a new place. Good luck to all. You will look at the mistakes of the path of forgiveness with a nice vision. Jai Bangla, Jai Bangabandhu.'' Rubel's words written in the farewell message are making new jokes. Because, the general secretary of the dissolved committee, Iqbal Hossain Tipu, wrote the same thing on his Facebook at 4 o'clock in the afternoon. Many people are making fun of this 'copy paste' of Rubel.

Under Rubel's post, Ariful Islam Arif, the organizing secretary of the dissolved committee, wrote, 'He could not write the last text himself. That too had to be copied!

Chhattra League worker. Suman Sarkar also wrote almost the same thing. He wrote, "Until the end, the brother copied the caption of others." The vice president of the same committee, Rakibul Hasan Dinar, however, criticized Rubel for repeatedly debating the unit. He wrote, "The dignity of the unit has ended."

Repeated debates:

Rezaul Haque was admitted to the Statistics department of the university in the academic year 2006-07. After that he completed graduation in 2010 and post graduation in 2013.

As per University ordinance, students must complete graduation within six academic years. And post graduation within two academic years. That is, a student can stay in the campus for a maximum of eight years. But Rezaul has been in the campus for almost 17 years.

On July 14, 2019, Rezaul got the responsibility of the president of the university branch Chhattra League. But his studentship ended 6 years ago. According to the constitution of the organization, the term of this post is one year but he was the president for about 4 years. In these four years, Rubel has repeatedly been involved in controversy

On July 17 last year, a student was sexually assaulted and beaten up by five youths on the campus. Five youths tied up and undressed the victim student and recorded a video on the mobile phone. Azim Hossain is the main accused in this incident. He was a follower of Rezaul. Azim has been permanently expelled from the university in this incident.

According to the oppressed student, Rezaul tried to hide the incident to save Azim. Rezaul discouraged him from filing a complaint and filing a case with the proctor's office. This was then published in various media.

Before this debate was over, a picture of Rezaul was criticized all over the country on March 20. In the picture, Rezaul is seen lying on the bed in the hall room and looking at the phone. Shamim Azad and Shafiul Islam, two leaders of the branch Chhattra League, are pressing his feet sitting on either side. Rezaul claimed that the two leaders were 'serving' him as he was ill. After that, on June 1, there was an allegation against Rezaul of cutting and injuring Deputy Office Secretary Ramzan Hossain. A phone conversation of Rezaul about being involved in this incident went viral on social media. At the same time, a personal photo of Rubel lying naked in his hall room also went viral on Facebook. Earlier, on November 5, 2020, Rubel had come under widespread criticism across the country for spending the night in a residential hotel on Agrabad Sheikh Mujib Road in the city with a young woman. When the video of him entering the hotel with the woman went viral on social media, Rubel dismissed it as a propaganda.

Rubel finally has to leave the campus after 17 years as the committee was abolished. But even during that goodbye, he became a source of laughter by copying and pasting.

The General Secretary party is also blaming Rubel's controversial activities behind the dissolution of the committee the queues Two of these parties, who did not disclose their names, told Barta24.com that we also wanted a new committee in this branch. But I did not want the committee to be disbanded in such a controversial way. Mainly due to Rubel's various controversial activities, the reputation of this unit has been undermined by the whole country.

Chhattra League central committee president Saddam Hussain's speech also revealed that the committee was abolished due to the controversial activities of the leaders. He told the media, "The recent incidents are undesirable and against our party discipline and ideals." Positive student politics is our expectation. We have taken this action due to the violation of that.
