Narsingdi: There is a shortage of sufficient gas in the country. There will be no shortage of fertilizer if this gas crisis is over, Industry Adviser Adilur Rahman Khan has commented.
He said this in response to questions from journalists after visiting the Ghorashal Palash Urea Fertilizer Factory in Narsingdi on Saturday (December 14) afternoon.
At the time, the Industry Adviser said that gas has not been excavated in the last fifteen and a half years. Bapex was kept workless. Efforts are being made to extract gas from Bhola. At the same time, efforts are being made to meet the fertilizer shortage in the country. He mentioned that there are various obstacles in implementing the goal.
Adilur Rahman Khan said that efforts are being made to resolve the corruption that has occurred in every sector in the last 15 and half years.
At the time, Industries Secretary Zakia Sultana, Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Rashed Hossain Chowdhury, Superintendent of Police Md. Abdul Hannan and various officials of the administration were present.
