Law Minister Anisul Haque said that the Law Ministry's decision regarding BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia's treatment abroad will be taken on Sunday (October 1).

Anisul Haque told reporters on Saturday (September 30).

Khaleda Zia's younger brother Shamim Iskandar applied to the Ministry of Home Affairs last Monday (September 25) seeking permanent release and treatment abroad.

The Law Minister said that due to Eid–e- Miladunnabi office was closed on Thursday and Friday was a public holiday. I will not hold back on this matter. Opinion will be given tomorrow.

Earlier, in response to questions from reporters at the secretariat, the law minister said that the government has nothing more to do from the existing position of law regarding sending Khaleda Zia abroad for better treatment. She was granted conditional discharge under section 401 (1) of the Code of Criminal Procedure with a conditional suspension of her sentence. It is the greatness of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Now if there is any change in the law, then the conditional release given to Khaleda Zia must be canceled first. After canceling and going back to previous status, another consideration can be given.

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan said in this context that Khaleda Zia was convicted in several cases and was in jail. The prime minister's executive orders gave her the opportunity to take treatment from home. Khaleda Zia's brother applied. There are legal complications in this regard, so I have sent it to the Ministry of Law. Whatever is within the law will be done. I am not allowed to do anything outside the law.

Khaleda Zia's brother Shamim Iskandar wrote to the government on September 25 to send her out of the country for treatment. The Home Minister gave this information to the media on Thursday (September 28) afternoon.

It is to be noted that the three-time former prime minister has been undergoing treatment at the capital's Evercare Hospital since August 9. There is no improvement in her health. Rather, the situation is deteriorating day by day. Sometimes she has shortness of breath. To be taken in the Coronary Care Unit (CCU). She was shifted from the cabin to the CCU yesterday afternoon as well. She was taken to CCU three times.

Jatiya Party (JP) is still apprehensive about the upcoming parliamentary elections, said the party's Secretary General Mujibul Haque Chunnu.

In a press conference held at the Jatiya Party chairman's political office in Banani of the capital on Saturday (December 9), he said, 'I am a little worried. However, they are hopeful that the government and the Election Commission have given an assurance that the election environment will be created and that the voters will be able to come to the center and vote properly.

Although Chunnu has denied the seat sharing with Awami League for a long time, he changed his tone on Saturday.

Acknowledging that seats may be divided between the ruling and opposition parties, he said, "Such compromises happen in other countries as well." There is no permanent way of talking about it. There is no finality in elections or politics. Any word can lead to a new decision at any time.'

Referring to Indian politics, Chunnu said, 'BJP is a very big party, they have not nominated candidates in many constituencies. Either in alliance with or tacitly having an unofficial understanding with some other party, gave them a chance. This kind of sharing is done in many countries of the world including India, Pakistan.

"We are looking at the nominations that have been appealed," JP Secretary General said. After that we will publish the manifesto.

Nasirul Islam Khan, the candidate nominated by Awami League for the same constituency(Kishorganj-3), has filed an appeal seeking the cancellation of Chunnu's nomination papers on the charges of loan default.

In this context, Chunnu said, 'Actually, this has been done to undermine my image. There is no opportunity to provide information on civil cases in the election code of conduct.

The chairman of the country's popular Haque group and former Awami League leader Adam Tamiji Haque has been arrested in a Cyber Act case, said Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) DB Branch (DB) chief Harun Or Rashid. He was arrested and brought to Dhaka Metropolitan Detective Police (DB) Minto Road office for questioning.

The DB chief told reporters at around 10pm on Saturday (December 9).

DB Chief said that a case has been filed against Adam Tamiji Haque under the Cyber Security Act at Dakshinkhan Police Station for allegedly 'insulting' Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. He was arrested in that case.

He also said that he has no enmity against anyone. But suddenly he took to social media to say that his mother is half Israeli, demanding rescue from the Israeli government. Again he appealed to the United States Marine Corps to rescue her, who was being held by Bangladesh. In fact, if the Bangladesh government had stopped it. But we could have stopped him when he came to the country through the airport. He is doing this kind of madness in the country. Not only that, Bangladeshi passports are being burnt on fire and are being spread on social media. The country where he has his own factories. Burning the passport of the country from which the factory runs is a conspiracy against the state.

Besides, he has married many times. His wife also complained. After all, he was brought in for questioning. However, there is also a case against him under the Digital Security Act. We will try to find out why he is celebrating by burning his passport against the government and the state through social media.

Harun said, if we think he is mentally ill during the interrogation, he will be sent to rehab. And if it seems that he is indulging in propaganda against the government, he has spread propaganda against the government in various media. He burned the passport. Legal action will be taken against them if they have any ulterior motives.

Earlier, a team of DB police arrested Tamiji from his home in Gulshan around 8:30 pm. A DB official confirmed this to Barta24.com.

About the detention, DB said, there are several allegations against Adam Tamiji Haque, including burning of the country's passport, making bad comments about the Prime Minister. That's why he was brought to DB. He is initially being interrogated at the DB office at Minto Road.

Jatiya Party candidate Sanjid Rashid Chowdhury has applied to cancel the candidature of Awami League candidate and Education Deputy Minister Mahibul Hasan Chowdhury for Chittagong-9 (Kotwali-Baklia) constituency.

Sanjid filed the application at the Election Commission Secretariat on Saturday (December 9) alleging Mahibul giving wrong information about the mother's name in the affidavit.

In the written complaint given to the Commission, Sanjid Rashid Chowdhury said that Mahibul Hasan Chowdhury wrote his mother's name in the affidavit as 'Hasina Mohiuddin' but in reality his mother's name is Shaheda Akhtar or Shaheda Mohiuddin.

Mohibul's father ABM Mohiuddin Chowdhury married Shaheda Akhtar in 1982. And Mahibul was born on July 26, 1983. His mother Shaheda Akhtar died in a bomb accident at her home on 19th October 1986. And Mohiuddin Chowdhury married Hasina Mohiuddin in 1987, when Mohibul was four years old.

Jatiya Party candidate Sanjid Rashid Chowdhury has confirmed that he has filed a written complaint regarding the cancellation of Mahibul's candidature. He said that he has no personal grudge with Mahibul. Rather, they have a kinship relationship with Mahibul's father. Their village house is also in the same area. But Mahibul gave the wrong name of his mother in the affidavit. And the permanent address is also wrong. For these reasons, he applied to cancel the candidature.

When contacted, Mahibul Hasan Chowdhury said, he will not comment on this for the time being.
